ARE HAIR RESTORATION PROCEDURES PAINFUL?
The procedure is performed under a local anesthetic, so you should feel no pain during the procedure itself. There might be a brief stinging sensation when the local anesthetic is injected, but that is it. After lunch, there may be another brief period like that when we apply more anesthetic, but the procedure is not painful. If there is any discomfort afterward, over-the-counter pain relievers are typically more than sufficient. Stronger pain medications may be prescribed upon request or following FUT surgery.

Recovery time depends upon the procedure you have. FUE surgeries typically heal faster. After FUE surgery, light activities can be resumed in a few days, and heavy lifting is fine one week after the surgery.

FUT surgery is a little more invasive and requires a return visit after about a week to remove the stitches. After FUT surgery, it is recommended you avoid heavy lifting and activities for two weeks.

Yes, hair transplants are permanent and use donor hair from parts of the scalp not subject to the same hormonal factors that cause male/female pattern baldness. Transplanted follicles will continue to produce hair indefinitely.
